My Grandpas Free Time Part 1

Sorry I could´t make it in 1 part. It took longer time than I thought it would. I will make next part longer. In case it doesn´t work to play it, here is what I happened in this part (question 1-4):

Question 1: Has your free time you have today changed a lot since when you were a kid.

Answer: My free time became less and less when I grew up and had a job to do and kids to look after and all those things. But now I am retired and so I do have more free time much like when I was your age and got out of school and finished my homework.  And on weekends.

Question 2: What did you do as a kid when you had time over?

Answer: When I was your age, I lived in Eugene, USA.  After school I had a little job delivering newspapers in the neighborhood and earned a little bit of money for that.  And then usually, I would go out and join neighbor kids and play ball--football or baseball, or basketball; whatever was in season.  After dinner, my brother and I would wash and dry the dishes and then we did our homework.  Then before bed, we might have some popcorn and listen to a radio program.  I was 14 when we got our first television.

Question 3: What is your favorite thing to do now?

Answer: Now my favorite thing to do is to be with grandchildren--especially doing things like going to Puffer's Pond (it is a place outside where you swim if you didn't know) or whitewater rafting like we do when you visit.  I also like going for long bike rides with Barbara (she is my grandma. I maybe was a little unclear about that she is my grandma, not my grandpas grandma) . I like to go to basketball and baseball games and hikes in the woods.  And going to the beach is special too.  But a lot of the time, we enjoy taking care of the house and the yard, planting new plants, bushes and trees, and cutting and stacking firewood for the next winter.

Question 4: How much time did you spend on home work?

Answer: It wasn't always the same, but most often I spent about two hours a day on it.  Sometimes I got right on it and efficiently finished in less time.  But when a term paper was due I might end up working longer or using a weekend to get it finished.  But usually, weekends were mostly for getting outdoors and having fun.  But I did like to work pretty hard at homework, because I liked it when the hard work paid off and I got good grades coming back on that homework and the tests based on it.
